NDX & 282 System Automation with n-Stream Problem

Hi,

Can anyone help me with a system automation issue. I took delivery of a new 282 yesterday and I am not having any success with operating the voulme and mute from my iTouch using the n-stream app.

I have connected the a cable from the NDX remote out 1, 3.5mm socket to the RC5 phono socket on the 282 and have set the system automation to Preamp enabled. The NDX is fully working using n-Stream so I am thinking that for some reason the signal is not being transmitted/recieved corectly by the 282.

I have had a previous 282 and all worked ok so this issue is a little baffling!

Any similar experiences or solutions will be well recieved!

Hi,

strange, when you got the NDX working with another 282, then ANY 282 should be working on your NDX. Does source selection work from n-stream to 282? (I assume you have this up correctly on the NDX).

If not: Might there be something wrong with the new 282? Checkout my 'ultimate guide' on s.a. here on the forum, that is all I know.

Hi Stefan,

Thanks for your reply. I found your guide extreamly useful to understand how to set-up the SA and this did conform my settings were correct. I contacted my dealer and Naim and its a problem with my 282 - a new one is on the way!
