Anna Calvi gig

Afraid not Califormia Jim, wish I was though.

Saw her on the Glastonbury highlights show last summer and liked it enough to get the album.

The woman on percussion must be one of the hardest working people in music, she plays 4 or 5 instruments simultaneously.

Thanks, Ray...I only began listening to her a few weeks ago,

bought the CD and play it nonstop.  Luv Caldi's guitar playing.

Ana Calvi is my best discovery of the year. I love the grunt feel throughout the album like a Marshall Amp left wide open at max volume. Suggested it to one friend and he plays it non stop for a couple months now. Great, great artist.

Well the concert was 3 hours of standing in the rain

and listening to two support groups before the She

appeared.  Glad I made the effort. From the first guitar

note, I knew I was in the right place.  Anna is awesome

and her music is monumental to my ears.  Aside from

playing the tracks on her CD, she played a new song

with her New guitar...shiny and black, and somehow

quite devastating in her hands.  Now I'm looking forward

to her next album.
