A touching documentary about Bleecker Bob's, and the future of vinyl?
The full documentary can be seen here:

I remember going in there on my first ever trip to NYC in the 70s.
I put a few albums by to pick up the next day because i was on my way to the PANAM building for a night chopper flight over the city and didn't want to carry them.
Went there a few times after that.
Sad to see its going/gone.
There was another good small shop a few mins walk down the road when you turned left out of the door.
A few blocks down as they say over there.
That shut down many years ago as i found out when i went back to buy some music.
It was great for African music.
I dont remember the name though.
Stu.
I used to live on Bleecker Street and Bob's was a regular temptation. I guess this could be the end of yet another long standing Village institution. What a shame.
I remember on my first trip to NYC 20 years ago, as soon as I'd dropped my stuff off at the hotel I headed straight for Bob's (such was its reputation on this side of the pond) and Tower on 4th & Broadway, spent far too much money. The Empire State, MOMA, Circle Line WTC, Met etc came afterwards!
A sad little film. I think the guy's remark about the Village becoming "more gentrified than it needs to be" is very telling and applies to many parts of London.

I too live very close. Honestly, in my opinion their outrageous prices and rude unhelpful staff were half the reason it went out of business. Bleecker Street Records and Rebel Rebel (also on BS) are doing fine (along with two or three more stores around the Village). Sorry, I know they're an institution and all that, but I'd always choose to spend my money elsewhere.
