Sometimes I feel like an Escalator Over The Hill

I really like Carla Bley's Escalator Over The Hill
Does anybody have any other Carla Bley recommendations?
Many Thanks, Guy
Guy,
I had never heard the name until your email about another album last night.
I would be interested also on others thoughts?
Stu.
Carla's orchestra on Escalator had Jack Bruce on bass and vocals as well as an unknown at the time singer called Linda Rondstat and she worked with Mike Mantler and alto sax supremo: Elton Dean. It is a comic jazz opera that really rocks at times and at other times is a bit like the Grand Wazoo. I think she is extraordinary based on Escalator and you tube clips, but was hoping somebody would be initimate with her recordings and suggest a few.
I have Escalator on CD, but the original vinyl triple album would be a find indeed - not the later German pressing advertised in the Amazon, but the box with books.
If all jazz were like this then I'd play much more of it.
Perhaps the BBC will do this in its classic albums slot ... for my money it is more worthy entry than Duran Duran (never liked him much in Barbarella as he wasn't very nice to Jane Fonda).
Still perhaps I'll press that nStream info button and see what it recommends
I might just get that App to see what he says
