I missed it, away on holiday, but saw some highlights of the opening ceremony on line today.

The Underworld tracks that I heard sounded good, a mix of 'Two Months Off' for the lighting of the flame. Apparently 'Dark Train' and 'To Heal' worked really well, according to the dirty forum.

I will get the soundtrack for the Underworld tracks, but in general opening ceremonies are not something I like, nor have I much interest in the games.

Good to Underworld involved though, although most of the TV stations didn't mention them at all (again from the dirty forum).

Hope their next proper album is an improvement of 'Barking', and more to the standard of Rick Smith's 'Bungalow with Stairs'.

Enjoyed Underworlds contribution to the show - the remixed whole parts of their tracks used, the new stuff and particularly the 'Two Months Off' sample (without the spoken words overlaid) which fitted into the visuals of the show perfectly.
