Winky, yep, it's a Polish thing. Having lived here for the past 18 years I can say that their humour is somewhat 'particular'. Their 'Cabaret' is a complete mystery.

Adam, the Sofia Jannok clip is actually rather nice.

I assume they are putting their character "box hat guy" into a high charting well known film clip and that is what is amusing. As an honorary "Aussie" this looks a little like our "fat pizza" style of humour where they ham up a stereotype and let the characters lose in various scenarios. I am sure you can google fat pizza to get the idea.
