UnitiServe Service 2911 error

Posted by: xsquid on 07 August 2012

I have a UnitiServe SSD. It is currently showing the following error code when I try and rescan a scanable network music share:
'Service 2911 was not found on the room 227.0.0.1'

I have deleted and restored the NAS and whilst it initially worked okay it now comes up with the error and the scan freezes.

Has anyone had experience of anything similar?

Its an unusual lan ip address, how is your network set up?

(just guessing here) but sounds like your isp is setting you ips right through to the lan.

US and all NAS have reserved ISP addresses using the norm 192.168.x.x. As you say it is an odd address.

Odd. I am at sea here so cannot be of much use, but my first port of call would be the router. What kind is it?

A Belkin N router - the setup has been working fine for some 9 months now. I added some downloads to the network share and re-scanned so the device would pick them up and the error cropped up. The ripped store is on another partition on the same NAS - an Iomega Cloud Home edition and there is no issue scanning that area it is just the location where I store the downloaded files - it hangs. In that scenario I think the IP setup is ok. I suspect it is some software error code as part of the device and will contact Naim when they are back from their hols. Thanks for your help anyway.

If you can pop a support request over to support@naimaudio.com then we'll get you sorted out next week when we're back from summer shutdown if that's OK?

Cheers
