Connecting FM Dipole Ariel To NDX?

Posted by: gtiboy on 08 August 2012

How do you connect an FM Dipole Ariel to the NDX?

I see the connector of the Ariel is a male Coaxial type.

Not sure what's required to connect it to the NDX? Does anyone know what kind of adapter is needed?

It's a female F connector on the NDX. Do a google search for f connector to aerial socket converter and you'll find what you need.

As James said and very easily available from most electrical shops - even the little shop in the village where my wife and I live stocks them!

If that picture you've posted is the actual aerial you are using it looks like it has a female plug so the second link you've posted to eBay will fit it fine.

Brilliant thanks, surprised Naim don't supply this adaptor with the NDX considering they ship it with the other two adaptors.

No problem - I supect that Naim recommend an external roof mounted aerial for best performance and so the coax downlead would be terminated to suit - no adapter needed. The one Naim supply fits a male belling lee plug - the type you'd normally find on the end of an existing aerial cable.
