3.16 applicable for NDS ?

Has anyone tried 3.16 on an NDS yet?
The NAIM news page states:
The new functionality brings all Naim streaming products into line with the new NaimUniti 2, NDS and NAC-N 172 XS which have operated on Software Version 3.16 from launch.
I've only had my NDS a fortnight and it was delivered with 3.15.
Hi, although I'm sure Naim will confirm, but I think 3.15 was the release candidate for a little while now, and then there were some last minute issues discovered with web radio meta data for certain stations. I believe this was put right in 3.16.

Just checked my nstream and it is 3.15, went to iTunes and it flagged there was an update for nstream. Downloaded the update restarted nstream and it is still showing 3.15?
I think your looking at the 'Streamer Version' rather than 'App Version'
Streamer software is not updated as a consequence of updating the App - would be nice if it were.
NDS is not good enough for firmware 3.16, you will need a Unitiqute for this
I've just updated both my NDS and my Qute to 3.16 (.02-Europe).
NDS update was a bit slower than Qute, but more straightforward with the USB cable instead of the RS232 connection.
Qute update needed me to restart PC before running it before it would find the port.
If using Win7, run the update as admin (right click 'streamer updater' icon, then click 'Run as Administrator')
"Happy Days" as I'm sure they often say in Salisbury.
updated NDS yesterday from V3.15 to V3.16. Took its time but worked like a charm (Windows 7).

When i looked more closely i could see NDS specific files so went ahead and upgraded my NDS last night.
It was painless, although it took a while.
Curious why both USB and ethernet connections are required?
Another successful update quite painless.
Are there any benefits to updating if you don’t use n-stream?
Thanks
Peter
Peter, i can't help with your question but i'm curious what you're using if not n-stream?
Bobbob, sorry for delay. Basically we use the remote handset, either with files served from a NAS, when we are listening to whole albums, or alternatively we run J River stripped down to audio only on a PC, and use files stored on another NAS. We are using this method more and more now as we have several operas that are spread over several discs so we are able to create playlists to listen without interruption. This method also means that we are able to read the long track titles on the computer screen that of course is not possible on the streamers screen. Works very well.

I think someone (Simon?) reported an improvement in audio quality on his NDX with firmware upgrade.
Does the same apply to the NDS?
The NDS shipped with 3.15, the only difference being a minor UI error being fixed, so I think the NDS already has the DSP optimisations Simon mentioned.
Thanks Dave,
You;ve just reminded...it's Moby time!!!! Memories of your set @ Tom Tom
Yes, did a bit of Moby myself yesterday... Enjoy!
Yes Dusty.. I have had a bit of massive listening session today, and the improvement is really marked I am really enjoying going through my collection. I'm in a Electronica beat mood today, and the Chemical Brothers and Fujiya & Miyagi are going down a treat at volume.. and earlier I listened to Air's Moon Safari and I have never heard Beth Hirch's voice sound so enticing, and for the first time I noticed the background school children shouting and playing in French, very atmospheric
