iradio vs nserve

Posted by: Develyn on 21 August 2012

When listening to iradio @ 25 volume level, I have to turn up to 35 or more to get the same volume level  when listening to my nserve files.  Was wondering if this is normal or what the issue could be.

There is an option on the UniQute to change the volume of various inputs to sort out his sort of thing.

Is it called "Trim"?  If so, how does that work and what are the affects on SQ?  I see I can raise Trim to +10 or lower it to -10.

It all depends on what level the "broadcaster" encodes their streams ... 0dB on iRadio should be the same as 0dB on UPnP but if the source files are encoded at different levels then they'll play at different levels too.

Input Trim: Enables the relative level of each input to
be adjusted so that each is of an approximately equal
volume. Adjust using handset key.
