my naim ND5 XS after a couple of days since 3.16, during normal playback is com appeared on disply the following message: ERROR 36 DSP ERR 2 - the 24 MHz Does anyone know tell me some explanation?? thanks

My nd5xs showed this error immediately after the update but pc showed update successful. I called Naim and they said this fault means return to factory.

Thing is, after the unit was powered down for approx 2 hours, I decided to switch back on and guess what, everything worked as normal.

Not sure if you have tried this? Otherwise, it may have to go back to your dealer.

Similar experience while applying the latest update as AntonD. Fault 36 appeared but power off-on sequence after waiting half an hour seemed to fix the issue.

My nd5 xs showed the same error during the update, but the update program says that all is ok.
Switch off for hours didn't solve the problem.
I tried the update again,but the same error.
I brought it to the dealer and he send it to naim Germany.
Now I'm waiting...

I reinstalled. Bat file of the DSP sent to me and it all worked out.

does seem a problem with the 5 mine is at dealer.  naim need to change policy on upgrade . and go to auto. loke most do.

You are certainly not first with same problem and I am sure Naim already knows that, so I think that it is not fair from Naim to be quiet and keep the things away from customers if you don't cry here. It would be a good idea to have serious web section with all this streaming stuff and 'how to'.

Does this problem appear straight after the update or only show up later ?

 

Dealer did mine on Wednesday and no problems so far. Touch wood.

nd5 upgrade failed left it at dealer ho recieved a patch . everything fine now.  the app is fit for purpose now, i dont need anything else

got the same error message on my ND5 display now since updating to 3.16 last weekend. It's curious the ND5 is still working, controlled by nstream on ipad - just listening Melody Gardot

 

Sometimes I have to switch off and (after 20 minutes) on for 3 or 4 times until the message has gone...

 

Very curious that it still works, while the message is in the display. Anybody knows what this message means? What shall I do?
I'm really not amused to have a >2.000 Euro Streamer with such problems...

My nd5xs is back and naim Germany send a New One.
The Update to 3.16 Happend without a Problem.
Now I'm listening...
