Naim service - Trevor Wilson

Hi All
Just want to recount something that happened today......
I have been beta testing the new firmware updates over the last month and have been excited by what Naim have been producing. Received an email a week ago from Trevor Wilson (Technical Project Manager) while on holiday to say that the final version was now available for download (v3.16). Got home and borrowed Granny's PC laptop to get the final version installed. All was going well as usual but the final part of the upgrade (streamer update) would not work. It asked for the IP address. I found it and installed. Still on go.
Today I emailed Trevor Wilson to seek advice. He was very helpful (offered to remotely login) and after several email exchanges I realised 2 things: i) I had switched everything off before going on holiday for 2 weeks and the PC had picked up my neighbour's network and not mine, and ii) it's Bank Holiday!! I should have realised it when Trevor initially replied from his iPhone. What fantastic service! To answer work related emails during a Bank Holiday. Hats off to you Trevor. Hats off!
I have noticed an issue with the firmware update that I did not notice during testing - spent all/most of the time testing the uPnP update to be honest. Renamed presets in iRadio whilst displaying 'changed' names in the presets list, when selected revert to the vTuner name and not the changed one in the preset list. It will display the changed name while 'restoring history' but revert to the vTuner name when 100% is hit. Not to worry, Trevor is on it!
And a Mac version is in the offing! Get involved in beta testing when the opportunity arises shortly.
Once again, thank you Trevor for your service.
Kindest regards
Neil
