Thanks for playing Fink at shows a few years ago.
I had never heard of him before.

I am so looking forward to this on vinyl.

This is such a good live album and a must have for Fink fans imo.
Two quality vinyl pressings with brilliant SQ.
It gets 10 out of 10 from me and moves into my top five albums of 2012 list.
Stu.
Unknown to me Stu but I've just checked out the website and listened to samples which are terrific. Is the live album a good place to start? G

As good as any place as it has some of his best tracks on it.
If i had to live with just one of his albums the above would be it.
This was the album played at the naim shows that started my Fink journey.
Then i saw him on youtube playing the title track from this album and i was hooked.

Cheers!
Doug introduced me and many others to another new band last weekend: Alt-J (the Mac keyboard sequence for the "delta" symbol). A wonderful, unique sound. Beautiful harmonies! Last night, Mrs. Hook and enjoyed listening to their debut album "An Awsome Wave". And it was!
Thanks Doug!

PS - Also bought some more good music on Doug's recommendation: Neu!'s self-titled album, as well as "2", from the early '70's. For those unfamiliar, this band was started by the drummer and guitarist from Kraftwork. Fantastic stuff!

You might want to try some Klaus Schulze albums.
The IN BLUE 3 disc set is a fav of mine,
He has done a lot of albums over the years to choose from though..
He was the drummer on the first Tangerine Dream album.

Cool! Just ordered a copy of "In Blue" from Amazon -- thanks man.
I know that you are not a jazz guy, but I am starting to think that maybe this progressive electronic Krautrock music might just be the place where rock and jazz guys find common ground...?
Visited a nearby record shop this afternoon, and this was playing:
You are probably familiar with them, but they were new to me. The vinyl is a 2012 German reissue. Got it home and played it a few hours ago. Brilliant music, and a super quiet, very high quality pressing. A bargain at $17.99 USD.

Overall great value if you want to sam
Overall great value if you want to sample Krautrock or get some of the lesser known tracks. For vinyl fans I think both CDs are available in full on 2 LPs.
