n-stream app keeps kicking me out...

Hi all, more frustration involving my qute.....using ipad as the 'remote' is impossible. If i'm searching / scrolling through my list of artists or tunes, i'll get so far down the list the apple searching icon will appear then the app will either kick me out completely or spend the next 10 minutes flicking between screens. Given that i'm pretty much at the end of my tether with this bloody thing does anyone have any ideas what might be happening? should i be updating the software to 3.16? if so how? Cheers.
