Desktop Client for HDX user interface problem

Posted by: Eugene on 30 September 2012

Very often DTC (ver. 2.0.11.1165) starts not showing the right pannel and the scroll bar. Usually DTC works fine for 2-3 days after installation and then these elements disappear. If they have disappeared nothing can bring them back again. Every time I should reinstall the application using "repair" option from the original CD. Is there any way to solve this issue without reinstall?

Can you describe the problem better?  What right panel and scroll bar (I only have a left panel and scroll bar)? I'm using the same version with WIN 7 and having no problems.

When I start DTC I have normally left pannel with categories (artist, album, people, etc.) and right pannel with a list of songs/albums. But when DTC does not work properly I don't see the right side of the window. For example I can choose the album in the left side but I don't see the list of songs in the right side and I also don't see the scroll bar. If I open list of albums I will not be able to scroll it down, I see only upper part of the whole list. When I reinstall the software using repair function everything works fine for some days but then the bug appears again. I also run Win 7.

That is really odd, what version of DTC are you running

Ah, OK.  Well, sounds it should work!    Not sure what's going on.  I sometimes have a problem when my wireless network isn't co-operating - I can see the left hand panel from a previous refresh but the right hand panel locks up.  In your case, re-installing the software fixes the problem temporarily so I don't think it's a network connectivity issue (it could still be a different network issue).

Maybe Simon-in-Suffolk can help - might want to ping him.
