That's a great album. Still got it on battered vinyl but you can pick it up on CD quite easily. Ultramarine used several samples from it on their magisterial 1991 album "Every Man & Woman Is a Star" (esp on the track "Skyclad").

The band were from Marseilles - there's a short article on Wikipedia here

SPACE ! l love that band !

It's a bit difficult to find the information on AllMusic, but here goes:

The CDs are difficult to get -- most are out of print --, but the best of called Best of Space (sic) would probably be the easiest to find. If you can, grab Just Blue as well, it's brilliant.

And treat yourself with the numerous live videos on YouTube, Space is still a sort of revival live act (I won't say it's fortunate, but there you go).

The main architect of Space is Didier Marouani. Here is some information:

When SPACE disbanded, Marouani founded Paris France Transit. As far as I know -- since I have them on vinyl --, PFT released only 2 albums: one studio, and one live in the USSR  which includes material form the SPACE era. Grab them too, it's pure bliss.

Both Paris, France and Child where big hits on the radio when I was a kid.

Enjoy ! (Sorry ken )
