Thanks for reply. I using synology>cat 5e>ndx-hicap dr-200&202. Play Flac n wav files. Tried on ds audio & n-stream fro 24-96 to 24-192 all hav same issue. leaving last 5 secs of song n jus skip to the next track when playing. some jus sounded jus cut off to the next track. really weird. tried restart the boxes n reboot my synology. still the same Try playing all the same files again on my room marantz streamer with the same synology>cat 5e>streamer. it was ok, don hav any of this issue. any idea why ndx skip my music 5s before it finished?

I did have a similar issues some time back but from memory I think it was with ALL files not just Hi-Def. My problem was caused by me not using the Qute & NDX as was intended, I was asking the program to send the tracks to the units instead of selecting the music from the units. Changing the way I selected music solved all our issues. We do not use any apps – n-stream etc – so can’t offer advice with that.

The current firmware is 3.16 information on which can be found at:

If you need to update please be sure to read the instruction that you should be running 3.13 before applying the 3.16 Firmware.

It might be worth checking the Naim Knowledge Base to see if your issue has be addressed there.

I've had this problem using plug player - cutting out 5s before end of track. Never had the problem with nstream, but never did figure out why pp did it - be interested to hear anyone else's thoughts on this too...
