Hello mezza

That’s a bind. I would switch off and leave for a couple of minutes then switch on again.

This from the Naim knowledgebase:

Why doesn’t my remote control work?

1. Check batteries and replace if necessary.

2. Reset the product to the default remote control codeset by following these steps:

a. Switch off product, wait 30 seconds, and then switch on again.

b. While STARTUP logo is displayed, point the remote handset at the unit and press the "AUX", "i" and "disp" buttons simultaneously on the remote handset.

c. The unit should then display "IR code 21" - if it doesn’t then press "Aux", "i" and "1" simultaneously then "AUX", "i" and "disp" simultaneously.

Worth a try if you are still having problems.

Regards

Peter

2.4 If the unit stops responding to remote control commands try resetting the remote handset as follows:

Press, all at the same time, the “aux”, “i” and “5” keys. This will reset the handset to System Code 13.

2.6 If the remote still does not control the unit reset the unit's System code as follows:

Turn the unit off.

After about 20 seconds turn it back on and while the logo is displayed on the screen point the remote handset at the unit and press the

“aux”, “i” and “5” keys all at the same time, as described above.

The screen will display “IR COMMS System Code 13” to confirm the change has been made.

2.7 If the unit has a firmware update in the future the handset will need to be reset to System Code 21, as follows:

Press, all at the same time, the “aux”, “i” and “disp” keys.

Regards

Don’t you just hate it when that happens?

I liked the old forum where you could refresh the page without loosing the posting box and see if others had posted whilst you had been writing. It’s called progress apparently.

Gents,

For the last 2 hours I have tried to get my system to reboot (Unitiqute) as all of a sudden the UPNP mode cannot be activated, i.e. my iphone cannot connect to the Unitiqute any longer (as of tonight), rebooting the system does not work as it keeps telling me that the network port will be activated but nothing happens. Also the remote control doesn't allow me to adjust volume anymore.... Are there any other things I can try besides taking it back to the retailer? Suggestions are much appreciated.

Best regards, Giliam (the Netherlands)

Actions:

UPnP port kept searching for input - switched it off and on multiple times - no result - then rebooted the system - got "analogue" on the display - remote didn't work anymore - got the remote working again thanks to the discussion above - did the rebooting thing again - tried to activate the network settings - nothing happens besides the display telling me it is being activated...

Is your server able to see the qute on your network? Has something changed there?

Have you checked to see if the qute has a network address?

Dear Andy, all,

I do not see the qute on my network. I have tried to access the network settings but then the display only states that it is being activated... cannot reach the folder behind it. The folder System status also clearly states that nothing is active. I have tried different network cables but that didn't help.

So currently  I am stuck with a qute that doesn't want to get on any network.... any suggestions? All other outputs (except iradio) work just fine.

Are you wired or wireless connected?

If wired there is a LED on the network card showing if the card is connected and if there is a network activity - is it lighting or is it dead? Under normal operation it should blink orange / green. If not, most probably the network card of the unit is dead and should be replaced. Mine was replaced two weeks ago, however the unit displayed "correctly" the error "Fault 28" on the display as this happened.

It does sound like its the network that is having the problems. Have you also rebooted the network router to see if that sorts it? Networks can be temperamental at the best of times and whilst it is possible something is wrong with the Qute, invariably it is the network that is playing up ( and the iradio absence certainly points this way).

Strangely it may also be worth trying to connect wirelessly, (assuming your router can do this).

Suggest you try powercycling your router (switch off/on). If still nothing, try the wireless route. If that works you should be able to simply then reconnnect by wire.  If still nothing ring customer service. They can sort out all sorts of issues, even remotely, and are only too happy to help.
