Asset Upnp for Mac

Posted by: Wazza69 on 20 October 2012

Hi,

Not sure if this is old news (I haven't noticed it here before) but there is a beta version of Asset Upnp for Mac now available. Do a google search...

Thanks

I installed it, then I saw that it's not the prenium version. The configuration is very limited. Sp, I decided to go on with the WIn version (running under Crossover) until a premium version for Mac will be avilable.

I tried to test it out my older MacBook, but it needs OS X 10.7 (Lion) or newer.

I'll wait for the full version to emerge.

Waiting is probably best.

I ran it a couple of weeks ago ( under Mountain Lion) and it was not working well yet. In particular I had trouble persuading it to find a Music folder on a NAS.

However bearing in mind it is Mr Spoon's first dabble in OSX waters and that Asset UPnP in PC land is pretty much the best UPnP server around it should be a good bet once he cracks it.

Just set up Asset on the Mac Mini streaming to the Uniti 2 and works like a charm. Took a while to load up the library, but now that it's there it's running like a champ. Can't wait for the premium version for playlists.
