Has anybody received their copy yet? Apparently released yesterday. Still waiting for mine.
Steve
Received mine from Burning Shed on saturday but not opened it yet.

Email received to say it was on its way to NY from BS. Assuming customs doesn't eat it, I should get it next week.

Really don't mind if I have to sit this one out though
I have my copy if the original, remastered. It is very well done. Lots of detail liberated but never feels forced or artificial. Sounds quite 'live' I think.

TAAB2 was not on my shopping list
I had a slip from the Post Office informing me they tried to deliver a package today. I'll pick it up tomorrow. I don't know if it's the JT album of one of the other LPs I've ordered recently. Anice little surprise awaits me tomorrow.
Steve
i already have this album, i believe in 180g vinyl. what is special about this new one?

The nice little surprise turned out to be a nice 1st press copy of Santana Abraxas. I bought for £3.50 on ebay. But as I arrive home there was another docket from the postman saying there is another he tried to deliver. I'll pick it up tomorrow morning.

Steve,
Have you by chance ever had a listen to Abraxas columbia Half-speed master? I was thinking of trying one. You seem to know this record well- any opinions? Thanks!
I don't have a copy of the Columbia Half Speed Mastered but I hear it's very good. You don't see it on sale very often in the UK. I have 2 original copies on UK CBS and also a US copy of the Quadraphonic Columbia issue which has a slightly different mix with extra whoops and hollers. It's different but I prefer the conventional stereo issues. I've been warned off the MOFI reissue.

Thanks Steve. I do have the Quad pressing and I am not that keen on all of the "whoops and hollers" . I will get a Half Speed and let you know how it turns out. Looks like an original press is still the preferred. ATB.
