UnitiQute and kudos c1's

Hi all

I've got myself a UnitiQute connected up to a pair of Tannoy Revolution Signature DC6T's with Chord Rumer cable at the moment and I'm not overly impressed with the sound quality. It just not that clear a sound it kind of sounds a bit 'splashy' if that's a word! Controlled that's it it not very controlled.

I'm listening mainly to ALAC because I need my music to play on my wife's iPod so I know I could have a better source but its still not quite what I'd expected of heard at the dealer. I also have to have one of the speakers about 1-2 feet from a corner wall due to the size an shape of my front room.

And finally we are saving to buy an new house so I am of limited funds right now...

I seem to be riddled by compromises!

So let me get to the point. I have an opportunity to but a pair of 2-3year old Kudos C1's for a reasonable price. What do we think? An I going to notice a real difference in the quality/clarity of sound or would it be best to look elsewhere?

On another note my Qute has started to buffer quite a lot recently not just on iradio either last night I did it whilst streaming ALAC from my NAS! Any thoughts?

I know I've been rambling a bit there but any advice and help would be useful.

Thanks!

The Kudos will work superbly.
Get your Qute some Naca5.
How old the Q? The upgrades solved all that for me.

Hi Thanks for the reply! It's about 5-6 months old now. To be honest this problem with the buffering seems to be happening quite a lot. I've talked to sky about my Internet connection but they tell me nothing's wrong and that I'm getting between 10 and 14mb. I've just ordered some power link network plugs so hopefully that might help....
