Classifieds

I assume this must have been raised previously but what is the reasoning behind the ban on mentioning the sale or loan of anything audio related?

Surely the best place for selling secondhand naim kit is on the naim forum. I know I would prefer to buy from a naim forum member as I know it stands a better chance of being looked after and serviced etc.

Actually respond with a YES for a classified section or NO for sell it elsewhere. Perhaps an idea of the forum consensus will help naim with a review.

Dude, covered over and over again.  Most recently just a few days ago.

Biggest problem is that there are plenty of commercial interests who would love to use the Naim forum as a platform from which to hawk their wares.  It's almost impossible to police this without a blanket ban.

Secondly, if any sale is fraudulent, misleading, or leads to dispute, Naim might be argued to have a duty of care.  Naim's view is that the best place to buy and sell Naim equipment is through one of their authorised dealers.

I think the problem comes with an implied warranty if the sale is associated with this official site.

Sorry, but this has been debated and argued over in the past but, the bottom line is that Naim's position here is non-negotiable for the reasons posted above.  Thread closed.

You're not really asking for an explanation for the ban; you're asking to vote for an unofficial poll. Right?
