UQ as a source

Posted by: Robbert on 23 November 2012

Is it possible to use the UQ as a source? I would like to use it on my Pass Labs Pre amplifier.

I have to use the pre out.( i guess )

And it is possible to use the n-Stream app on the UQ when it is a source, and using the volume control?

See it like a DAC with volume controle.

Hi Robert,

The Qute is a pretty capable source, I recently connected it to my 552/300 (pre/amp) and it works beautifully!

- You just have to connect the pre out of the Qute to one of the input of your amplification.

- You can also use the digital out of the Qute if you have a DAC. In this case, it's the Dac which will be connected to one of the input of your amplification.

I'm pretty sure you can use the n-Stream app.

Regards,

Edouard

I do not have a separate DAC. It must be the DAC from the UQ.

As i use the volume control, the sound will go threw the pre-amp section. And that's where it will go down. I understand when i use the digital out section.

Maybe i'm gone try it for a while
