Adding missing album covers via nStream

Posted by: antz on 25 November 2012

Hi guys

I'm trying to add a missing album cover via iPad. I find it via info tab / not this album in nStream. A list of album covers is displayed. I select the correct cover that then appears full screen . I return to the album and the artwork is still missing. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi Antz,

you need to add the cover art to the folders where your music files are,  which are read by the upnp server.  Place a jpg file of the cover art in the album folder.  Depending on the upnp server it needs to be called folder or cover.

once the index is rebuilt mistresigh should show the album covers

Don't forget to clear image cache in NStream settings when done to avoid disappointment

Antz, that 'info' feature is not meant to replace album art stored on your server. (I am 99% sure of this.)  In fact I don't think that nStream itself permits any editing of information on your server; you'll need to do it as David said.  I've been using nStream for almost a month now and I'm pretty sure that this is not possible with it, as it's only controlling the player, not the server.

If you have a Naim SERVER (UnitiServe, for example), the nServe app will let you edit info including album art for cd's that have been ripped by it.  But if you don't own a Naim server, ignore this last part
