Bi-Poles/Di-poles for rear channel home cinema

I'm curious why Naim has never got into making bi-pole or di-pole speakers for rear channel surround sound use. To be honest I have been forced down the route of using such speakers because my viewing sofa is right up against the back wall. I have experimented with normal monopole speakers for rear channel use (Linn Kan and Naim Intro amongst others) but the Kan were too directional and the Intro were muffled because they were firing at the back of the sofa. I'm sure I'm not alone in having my sofa up against the rear wall and wanting a discrete solution so there would appear to be a market for this.
For now I use a pair of Kef Q2DS Di-poles down the sides of the room but while they are reasonably beefy and certainly throw a very dispersed sound-field I have never been convinced by their transparency. The Monitor Audio RX/FX in white would be domestically acceptable but I have yet to try them in situ - anybody heard them? The ideal solution for me would be for naim to make something similar - any plans in Salisbury?
