Recommendations required

Hi all. My friends wife has asked to to sort out a 2 drive NAS for him for Xmas. I will look at Synology, Qnap and Netgear.I would appreciate some recommendations based on the following;

All his music is recorded in AIFF on iTunes (he wont change this)

He uses an NDX into Naim amps.

Can spend around £500 including the hard drives.

Wants to store some films and photos on NAS as well.

Sometimes two people may want to stream music to different locations in the house (if possible).

Hi Phil,

I think the manufacturers you shortlisted are all providing good quality NAS's. I use the Qnap219 already for more than a year and am very happy with it. Stringly recommended.

Don't knwo how techbically skilled your friend is, but I would look for a store that provides the service "to install all necessary software" on the NAS you choose. I found a store here that did so, so it was really plug and play.
