uServe won't stay visible in Finder

Those of you with uServes (or the HDX I suppose) . . .

For some reason all of a sudden it won't reliably stay visible in the "Favorites" area of the Finder window even though the Serve is not disconnecting from my network.  It may be because I also can't seem to connect as "admin" -- either I've forgotten the password (and can't figure out how to reset it) or something's funny.  I end up connecting as "Guest."  I am pretty sure it usually connected as "admin"

Any advice as to how to get it back staying in the Finder?  And finding the admin password?
