Doesn't the Immersion set have those .... as the haven't done Piper At The Gates of Dawn which is by far and away my favourite PF album I haven't bought any, but I thought they had 24/96 versions.

Graeme,

I haven't got any of the Immersion box sets, but if I understood correctly the 24/96 version (remastered stereo LPCM, original 4.0, remastered 5.1) are on a BluRay disc, so no realistic hope there unless one has the sophisticated material and procedure to get these bits out (or is it simpler nowadays ? I don't think it's legal anyway, is it ?). DVD1 has lesser resolution versions (24/48 but not sure). Surely someone who actually owns these sets will chime in.

I don't think these 24/96 are legally available for download anywhere. Obvious sites like HDtracks or Qobuz don't have them.

Thanks Maurice.  I had a good search myself but came up blank so I guess 'no' is the answer to my question!  Pity - I think DSoTM would benefit but not sure so much about the other classics which I have the 1st CD pressings of.  G

Hi all

I own all three Immersion box sets.

There are no hi-res files in the Wall one (apparently James Guthrie is working on this for future release).

DSOTM box contains a blu-ray which has stereo and 5.1 mixes in 96/24

WYWH also has a blu-ray with stereo and 5.1 mixes in 96/24.

These two box sets are the only way you can get these hi-res mixes. No other 24 bit versions of any album are available anywhere.

At least here in the States it would not be illegal to pull the hi res files off of the Blu-Ray disc if you own the disc and are doing it for home use only.  Obviously illegal to fileshare / sell.

But if they put out a product like the Beatles did with the hi res remasters on a usb stick, I am sure they'd sell many of us yet another copy of their music.

If you have a SACD player then there is DSOTM and WYWH which I think are in 24/96, I only just recently purchased WYWH on SACD and it has gone straight to the top of my favourite SACD's, it is my favourite Floyd album and is great quality with an excellent 5.1 mix if you like that kind of thing

Thanks Paul.  Ditched the SACD player last year as figured the format was going nowhere....I want to play everything through my one source HDX Ndac so guess I'll have to wait.....they will do this, I'm sure.  G
