For the BBC viewers.

Suzi Perry is announced as the replacement for Jake Humphreys.

She is so much better looking.

All they need to do is get rid of Eddie J and I might even watch.

Rather listen to Murray Walker than Eddie Jordan anyday

With SP and Lee McKenzie as the two contenders it was always going to be a step-up in the eye-candy stakes.

Congrats Suzy,  good choice, lots of experience having done the job with MotoGP for ?? years

Guys,  what is it with you & EJ, I watch F1 for not just racing,  the technical side is important to me & a lot of others if my F1 group of contacts is representative.  Eddie brings a lot of inside info, he knows the business & seems to get leads on the politics way ahead of the others.

I am still hoping we get to keep Gary Anderson,  he can diagnose the drag & down-force effects on a change of paint color.

...........   back to Suzy,  if they dumped DC - useless commentator & even worse pit lane interviewer - Suzy would make a great pit lane chatbox, unlike the DC avoidance fiasco,  they will be queuing up to let her interview them.

Great news. Especially if she still dresses as well as she can I wonder where EJ's eyes will be level with? Tony

...but I might be live at the Italian GP.

I will still be watching Sky for all GPs.

I might watch BBC highlights now though.

She should be a high callable anchor. Good choice on CV grounds. I thought Jake did a very good job too.

Neither!

Welcome to the world of interweb! Bar a few early  mornings GP,  I did not miss a single one LIVE.

Glad SP got the job though. Whe was excellent in MGP and I'm sure she'll do an even better job in F1

Sorry. Freudian slip.

On a serious note, I'll need to find a friend with Sky so I can watch the missing GPs. Even if I wanted to have Sky, we can't receive it due to some lovely trees being in the way of the satellite. There's definitely a gap in the market for an app or something, pay per view. But hey, Bernie and Sky don't care one little bit. Tony

You need tree fella's Tony.

I have tree mates Sean Mick & Paddy with a pick up truck & handy with a chain saw.

Dey can work in da dark if dats any use

Tree fellas? So dey'd want dirty tree and a turd each? I prefer trees to Sky, so not a consideration really. And that monthly fee pays for entry and fuel to events at Brands and Goodwood. Tony

I want her for Italian tv!I can't stand Gianfranco Mazzoni, Ivan Capelli, Stella Bruno and Ettore Giovannelli anymore

Here's Miss Perry acting seductively on The Gadget Show. http://youtu.be/LG1OtPdZ4YM I doubt she'll do that on the F1 show, but I reckon she would become world famous dressed as Catwoman as she slinks around the grid. Tony

The season starts next weekend. Can Vettel win fourth title?

Posted on: 11 March 2013 by Harry

Of course. But then again he might not. Nothing is going to be set in stone this side of August and I hope it hoes down to the wire with multiple contenders. Pre season testing has been as oblique as ever - possibly more so this year.

Posted on: 12 March 2013 by osprey

Well yes, he certainly has the ability but can he beat the odds also. How many drivers have won the championship four times in a row (if Schumi is excluded)? Who will be the main contender? Alonso has the talent but unfortunately he is driving for Ferrari and history has proved that it has been very difficult to win with them. One need to be Lauda, Schumi caliber to succeed in that - Alonso might not be quite there yet although he could be the best of the current drivers. And what about the rest of the pack. It will be interesting to see if Hamilton can bring back the glory days of Brawn GP (Tyrrell Racing) now in guise of Mercedes.
