For the BBC viewers.

Suzi Perry is announced as the replacement for Jake Humphreys.

She is so much better looking.

All they need to do is get rid of Eddie J and I might even watch.

Webber has always been  a bit of a whinger  and never been champion material IMHO.  Next...

Looking forward to the British GP. My money is on the Scuderia to do well but I can see Seb keeping them in sight, if not in his mirrors. I quite like the kid!

Paul Embury at Pirelli won't have a job next year at this rate. Embarrassing at best.

Rear lefts - what's going on?

Posted on: 30 June 2013 by Tony Lockhart
Relentless high speeds/loads and lightweight build?

Not if Bernie has anything to do with it. Three or four exploding tyres a race is definitely the way forward.

Ironic that the secret tyre testers had their tyre tested first! G

Not really. They where testing if a high a speed blowout was possible without serious body damage resulting.

Did you enjoy the podium.

Nice to see MW up there given his start and the work he put in on the last few laps. G

Good race, but poor TV coverage here in Canada. In the final three laps we left the race to watch the crowd, look at Perez in the back of the pits (twice) and numerous replays whilst losing all the excitement happening on the track.

Same coverage as us in the UK with BBC coverage. Utter shite. Rosberg has been summoned by the stewards for a possible yellow flag infringement, whereby he didn't slow sufficiently. That'll be a bummer if it goes against his result.

Reprimand only (he's a very naughty boy), still the winner...

Posted on: 30 June 2013 by Tony Lockhart
And that's a good thing.

It would probably still beat a McLaren

Just the 2 fingers for Vettel today , well done Lewis a great lap.

It could well be SV's first win in July/Germany tomorrow though I'm afraid.

Perchance one for next season? I know they like young talent, and technology is afoot..

Bernie Ecclestone has been accused of corruption.

In other news, a bear has been accused of defecating in a forested area.

Logical choice. That's why Toro Rosso exists!

Wonder if Lotus can hold on to Kimi and stop him from moving to Ferrari.

Jeez hadn't seen that one coming!!!!

Yes, it's why TR exists, however the choice of driver for RB must be a business decision, not an automatic picking of whoever is showing promise at TR.

I like Ricciardo. He seems like a decent guy, and has shown occasional talent on the track. Let's hope that bloody German doesn't send him insane.

If insane = driving Porsche endurance cars, then insane is not so bad, especially if you are not as good as your highly talented and very driven F1 teammate.

Tony, I do completely agree with your observation that "Yes, it's why TR exists, however the choice of driver for RB must be a business decision, not an automatic picking of whoever is showing promise at TR."

Anyone watching? - Think Lewis can make an impact from back on the grid?

Posted on: 08 September 2013 by Tony Lockhart

I'm just back from Santa Pod, and am fast-forwarding through the race. I'll let you know....

By the way, 2 Top Fuel cars have the same power as the complete F1 grid!
