I've lost my NAS

After changing my router to a Billion I'm encountering all sorts of problems, first of all it worked but not any more. My Mac book can see the Disc station but when I try to connect I get "connection failed" the NDS is saying "no server"  the oppo no longer sees the files on the NAS and my friends windows computer can't see it either. Could it have something to do with IP address of the NAS? Oddly enough I can still play music with the DS audio via UPnP and internet radio works(all is not lost) I've been through the billion settings and searched this forum without  much luck, I'd appreciate any help.

Well, i dont know the billion router, but i had the problem of disappearing gear some time ago. was related to my old router. Replaced it with a linksys router and did ip-adress reservation on the router for the various devices.

the diskstation and the other devices are on dhcp as the ips are reserved on the router anyway, works flawlessly. Never lost connection again.

maybe worth a try?
