New years resolutions
Posted by: Cbr600 on 25 December 2012
To start off, I am going to give up the drink again, and stop eating sweet stuff!
Whats yours going to be?
We did it this from September until now and have lost two and half stone now!
Good luck.
Mine is to keep to the plan and NOT put weight back on.
Jono
Stop having audio affairs! I have got to spend more time listening to my main system instead of "experimenting" different set ups on a second system, sometimes third system. It's just getting ridiculous!

As the saying goes Tony, you have to experience the bitter, to appreciate the sweet.
Keep experimenting

Happy Xmas!
I am never going to post on this forum again

Doh!
My resolution is to "not let the admin get me down"
Cheers

Who do you get to audit the paperwork ? (only leg-pulling on this one !)
Nice speakers BTW !

So at 200 hours they just switch on eh?
I'm giving up alcohol for January in aid of Cancer Research UK. I'd be extremely grateful if any of you would like to donate:

Happy new year!

That killed the thread.....
'fraid so Phil. I felt as if i'd been "chugged" - you know ? like when you walk down the street and the charity enlisters try to engage you ?
Sorry, but...............
Cheers

My wife's resolution is to stop complaining at my upgrade wishes.
Just hope I can afford a change before she breaks her resolution !
- Sub 4hour Marathon.
- Either Inca Trail in Peru OR Everest Base Camp. (Part of a group decision, I don't mind which this year)
- Save enough money to fund a flight to my mate's wedding in Adelaide late 13/early 14
- Full service/recap on 82, 250 and 2 Hi-Caps (hence the above)
I believe evidence has been produced to show that not drinking at all in January not only doesn't do your liver good, but might even harm it (established routines being better than radical change presumably). Far, far better to cut out drinking two/three days per week all year. But you will lose loads of weight!
Maybe the doctors around can contribute to this, my information came from a research project reported in a scientific journal, and then re-reported in a wine publication (hence partisan), and I'm only remembering it. Not Daily Mail bollocks, but I know how things like this can get twisted, and also what this forum is like...
in any case, cheers! and Happy New Year.

Rod,
Are you not supposed to give something up for your resolution ?
Where's the fun in that ?
Are you not supposed to give something up for your resolution ?
Not so far as i'm aware, a positive action resolution is perfectly good and probably more useful!
Perhaps you are getting confused with Lent ?
Cheers

Don,
Sorry you feel that way - although i must say that's a pretty extreme reaction to a post on a web forum - how long have you been afflicted?

Oh, I don't think afflicted is the right terminology, I just smile at them and say "not today thank you".
