n-stream features for n-serve app

Posted by: chittoe on 01 January 2013

The features that are availablefrom the n-stream app, in particular the information that is availbale from the Rovi  database is great.  When will similar features be added to the n-serve app for the HDX, does anyone know?

Would e nice if the new year brought a common app for both products, with common functionality

Absolutely..I cannot understand why there should be any difference between the features of ether App.  The n-Stream App is very good, especially in reommending other bands etc.as well as deatil on the current Artist which also lists all their output.  This seesm to me to be a no brainer

Hi all I have just joined the forum and latched onto this topic.

I use both an Hdx and a UnitiQute as sources in different rooms and I really want to see the 'Info' function from N-Stream incorporated into the N-Serve app.

I emailed Naim about this and they gave me a really rubbish maybe / maybe not answer.

I'm wondering if there are any more Hdx source users out there who would like to add some weight to the request?  Personally I am OK with having two different apps and I am used to them now.  I really like the to use the 'Info' function to broaden my knowledge, increase my collection and add to the whole enjoyment of the music.  Adding 'Info' to N-Serve would be be like an early birthday or Christmas present.

Prat,

agree with your sentiments, and i would love to see a common app for all units.

Agree the options on stream would be welcome on the serve app as well

i think there are previous threads here where people listed their wish list for the app

Rumers about a unified app seems to have died down lately, so maybe it is not possible or Naim software developers are on other projects.

Rovi could be nice, on the other hand browsing information while listening for me disturbs the listening, a bit like casual listening while being at the computer. It may be different because I am reading braille, but I do not think so.

Can't you use nStream to control an HDX?
