The soundtrack to the Disney movie "The Black Hole" (1979) was to be a liquid filled disc, but problems with leakage prevented its release.

New Order's PC&L on German multicoloured vinyl

Posted on: 05 January 2013 by Blueknowz

My copy is the Original Black stuff!

Blueknowz - yes, I seem to remember your version - which is why I picked the photographed version out of an anonymous pile of records - I knew the title but not the front cover (hippy wearing Afghan).  I was surprised to see the coloured vinyl.  Turns out it is the German pressing and sleeve.  The two versions also have slighly different selection of artists.  Good comp.

I hope you have all read the 'advertising' blurb top left hand corner.  (I can hear Don Draper or Peggy reading it.  I wonder if there will be any albums/bands featured in Madmen 6?  Ginsberg's project perhaps?).

Kev and Joe - nice!

I have the same grey front cover UK copy. These CBS compilations like Fill Your Head With Rock turned me on to a lot of artists in the late '60s early '70s. I've never seen the coloured vinyl issue though.

There is a track on the German pizza version by the Chambers Brothers - never heard of them, but it's excellent.

In case you can't zoom in clearly enough, the TLH 'Korner' goes like this...

"The Underground Sound is driving. Is searching. Is music. It's your bag. So it's ours. It's the Super Stars. And the Poets. It's the Innovators and the Underground. It's the Loners and the Lovers. And it's more. Much, more..."

Remember seeing the "multi-colour" version of the New Order album somewhere in the dim and distant past too. Excellent.
