Hopefully used by interested bikers of the leather clad type (rather than the Lycra), no offence.
Here goes with an earlier bike I used, but now sold on
Modern Russian ?
I'd like to have a go on a bike without conventional suspension. It must be weird braking heavily and not feeling fork dive.
I'm also not big on choppers, but this one is interesting:
The Quaser, from the 70's. "Feet forward" never caught on.

Picture is a bit small but is that a rotary aero engine ?
A couple of my own pictures for a change ....
from the NEC Bike Show circa 1983. I often wonder what the two old dears were saying to each other. And indeed, what brought them to the show in the first place.
And another from the same period.
My mate (pictured with Barry). He had bought a new AGV helmet that year and won a competition for an all expenses trip to Donnington. I think it was for the Transatlantic Series. He took me along and we were wined and dined for the weekend, had access to the pits and met a few of the top names. Seems so long ago now.

Looking at image, it's also hard to see how the steering would work !

Vague memories of this. Looks like it might be a forerunner for the BMW covered bike

It will certainly keep your "bits" warm

They were the hotties, getting ready to put on their swimwear and flaunt themselves ( pass me the bucket)

You must hav some good memories from that time. I used to love race weekends at Donny and Caldwell park
Two good ones for you all.
What is the fastest fish? A motor-pike!
What is the second fastest fish? A motor-pike and side-carp!
Possibly the wrong thread!

George,
Sounds like you opened a box of Cracker Jack today.
Modern Russian ?
Looks like quaint old 1930’s technology in action there, in a retro kind of way.
Probably a design plan copied from German BMW‘s of an earlier era, a part of the captured hardware from the German Wehrmacht during and after WW2 ?
At least they got rid of the nasty side-car and machine gun ; )
Debs
Quote Naim Nymph:"at least they got rid of the machine gun"
....but they left the mount for it!
Howard, that should frighten the Traffic Wardens!

George,
Time for you to "tuna" out me thinks
Old school racing bike

My BMW R1200RT has telelever suspension and you don't really notice the difference apart from possibly a lack of arm ache after a long spell of mountain pass riding with lots of heavy braking -especially 2 up. Same with so called "torque reaction" - not noticeable unless you really try to feel it. It handles really well for its size and is a lot lighter than it looks -229kg I believe.
Like this you mean ?
Yep - but not quite that light!
Another one for the scrappie
Easy come- easy go.
No sign of a shattered helmet !
