I have a Naim NAIT XS powered by a Flatcap 2 and a ND5 XS streamer version 3.16.00. The ND5 XS is connected by Remote Out to the NAIT XS Remote In.
I have an iPad2 and an iPhone 4S both running version 6.0.1. The Naim App is version 3.2.
Everything runs smoothly except for one thing! I cannot control the volume by the Apps! It is irritating I have to use the remote control for that. Is it not possible to control the volume in the Apps in above configuration?

You need to go into the ND5XS menu system (from the front screen of the streamer) and turn the remote control function on there.
I had to do this with both my NDX and NDS, and imagine ND5XS is similar. The instruction manual gives more details. Look at Section 4.9 "The System Automation Menu" of Issue 3b of the online manual.

Thanks a lot. It worked (I am not impressed by the manual)
But now I can only have one App connected at the time! Not that it is a big issue, but before I could have both my iPad and iPhone running the n-Stream App at the same time!
