Problems with NDX and 24/192 files

I jus downloaded the concert n.2 by Racmaninov in flac 24/192 from Linn records but my NDX can't play it with stops lot of stops!

I think that the problem is my net because if I put the same file on a USB drive directly connect in too the NDX it plays perfect.

does anyone can suggest me a sw for my mac to convert this file from flac 24/192 to flac 24/96 like a lot of other files I have?

How are you streaming. I've had a few problems with Linn files which turned out to be the software I was using to convert them. I had used Max, and got problems and used XLD instead to convert flac to Aiff. I take it you are using wired network connections ?

Yes I using a wired connection (gigabit).

I have a lot of file flac 24/96 so I am trying to find the way to go from 24/192 to 24/96.

I don't normally use any conversion software because all my files are in FLAC.

I only used XLD to convert some old files in AIF to FLAC and it worked very well.

The problem is that in XLD I can't find in the flac options the way to go from 192 to 96.

What I am trying now is to convert the originals 24/192 flac files to WavPack (that is the only format that makes possible to go from 192 to 96) and then convert those files again in flac!

See if it works! Next time I will download the 24/96 flac files instead of the 24/196.

It did not worked!!!

Even if in the WavPck option I put as bit-rate 96 the converted file is always at 192...

On what device are your music files stored and how is this connected to the NDX?

My files are stored on an a firewiire 800 external drive connected to may MAC.

The NDX is connected via eterneth (gigabit).

I tied to put the files in to the internal drive of my mac but nothing have changed!
