Is your music taste seasonally adjusted?

Whenever we get ice, snow or just a heavy frost I always give this title a play;

Best described as the best Tangerine Dream album not actually released by the band, the analogue synth sounds convey images of frozen tundra and arctic winds (to me at least). Michael Hoenig played with Tangerine Dream during 1975 when Peter Baumann was unavailable to tour. His appearances include the Albert Hall concert included in the Bootleg Box set no1 and introduced by John Peel.

Does anyone else have favourites they reach for when the temperatures plummet?

I find I play quite a bit of Arthur Brown in Winter, Kate Rusby in Autumn, Cathedral in summer and Robert Calvert in spring  ....

Tonight I think I'll play something by Alice ....

Even more snow where I live so this will have to get an airing this weekend;

Sinfonia Antarctica, best enjoyed on the inside of double glazing with a hot pot of coffee. This version has John Gielgud narrating the various extracts of poetry and prose including Captain Scott's last journal. great use of a wind machine and a female chorus singing wordlessly.
