No doubt there are many forum members that are animal lovers, whether it being your pet cat or dog, Or maybe you have some exotic birds, or other.

You never know, there might even be the odd ferret rustler among us.

So, if interested, why not post a photo of your animals, pets or otherwise

Ziggy, who has now given up hunting after nine years of wreckless slaughter.

My avatar is Luke, my nitwit dog.

Here he is on the beach.

He's my best friend and I am his.

He's a rescue dog, and for some time I thought the word 'malinoise' was French for mongrel, so I had to apologise to him - via the medium of sausages - when I discovered that Malinoise is a pure breed, Belgian Shepherd (but with German Shepherd colouring). Looks like a German Shepherd puppy. He doesn't much care for other dogs, but I think that's a legacy of his particular abandonment/treatment rather than a trait of the breed. Soft as mush with people.

Tony,

no doubt the mouse population has increased around your house as a result !

Posted on: 06 February 2013 by Tony Lockhart
Funnily enough no. Two or three other mean looking moggies are making sure meeces aren't a problem. Perhaps Ziggy will join them during the spring. Her kills include an adult female pheasant, a large fish, two bats and hundreds of rodents. Tony

They can be terrors

I'm afraid mine have done for many small rodents over the years (still seem to be lots of them around though). They gave up on birds some years ago, as they're much harder to catch I presume. The odd frog is deposited in the kitchen (unharmed).

Over the years I have also had a snake, 2 rabbits and a very large (and dead) rat. For balance though, one of my cats used to bring me sticks out of the garden and the closest he got to wildlife was when I caught him backing up the stairs towing a lump of beef he'd rescued from the shopping bag.
