How is that photo embarrassing? I'd be more embarrassed by the inappropriate use of an apostrophe in the thread title.

Hi, Fabio.

Bad day at the office due  to a not so helpfful Naim dealer. But all is good now.

Paul is a good man but I think he needs a holiday. Ooops, that's a new thread coming...

Kidding, Paul.

Keep it up Paul, and sod the use of apostrophe's.

It wo'nt be long before you get your avatar's all the way down the padded cell - again !!

Winky's only jealous, in a nice sort of way.

Cheers

Maybe my grammar is not up to scratch. I thought the apostrophe was correct if it was a personal item, as opposed to apostrophe after the word if it was impersonal ?

You may be closer to the truth than you realise. I will be off for a weeks ski Hols at the end of month, and then a change of job !

Paul,

I'm afraid you are wrong and Winky is right. The "photos" bit is simpy an abreviation of "photographs"  ie the plural of photos. The apostrophe would be applied to the "owner" eg Paul's photos.

But I'm no English geru, so am happy to be corrected.

Cheers

By the way, don't you just love the home knitted cardigans.

Must have been itching all day at school with that thing on

Fair enough-- it is 38 years since I left school ( and a lot longer since I had on that cardie)

No Don, you are completely correct.

But are you sure you're a "geru"? That's a colour - an earthy terracotta.

Paul, that's a feeble excuse. It's 48 years since I left school and we couldn't afford cardies.

Please note the tuition in the use of apostrophes in this post...........

Cheers
