Upgrade Angst

What upgrades have folks wrestled with most ? Perhaps a deal they should walk away from but cannot as it may never come along again? Or, an upgrade which even caused a family upheaval? Tell all.

I may someday upgrade to a HeadLine & phones to avoid a family upheaval . Increase my listening opportunities at night. Might be cheaper to buy my wife a TV for the bedroom.
