Picture hosting site, which one?

Chaps, some advice on which picture hosting site is preferred by the Forum.

My preferances are free use and very simple to get a photo on here.

Many thanks in advance.

Jason.

+1 for Photobucket.

Long-time Flickr user here. I like it. (It's unfortunately with Yahoo now, but that isn't too intrusive.)

Flickr for 'proper' photos and Imageshack for album covers. Both easy to use with the forum.

Thanks chaps, looks like Flikr has it by a margin.

I'll throw in a wildcard. I always had problems posting pictures on this forum using the ones mentioned. I now use "Google sites". You can set up your own basic website in minutes and add pictures or anything else you may want.

Flickr for me.

Photobucket for me. I tried Flickr, but I refuse to have multiple email addresses, or be dictated to by Yahoo. (Who?). Very easy to use, and the iDevice app is simple enough for me to breeze through.

Why do you need multiple email addresses?

It all depends on what you are uploading your photos for. Personal use or do you want others to see them?

Sharing. It seemed to require a yahoo address when I looked at it

Hi Tony, I think it asks you to start a yahoo email address still but you can just ignore it and/or nominate your normal one. You can turn on or off pretty much everything in terms of announcements, communications etc.

I am using my own email but I guess that I may have signed up a yahoo one that I have never used.

I had to create a yahoo email address that became my logon name, but other than that I have never used it.

Flickr, by a country mile.

But be warned Jason, it is hugely addictive, especially if you like looking at other people's pics. There are some truly amazing photographers and photographs on here.

Also a great community. Everyone seems so polite.
