Unitilite and the itouch trap

Wonderful new unitilite but why only ipod etc 5th generation? I can use my 4th itouch as a remote control - fine, but can't connect via usb. Is this really the case?

That's odd. According to the manual, the 4th gen iPod Touch is compatible :

Yes, thanks for this, you're quite right. However, I've just realised that they specify 8, 32 & 64Gb but not 16Gb. Could this be the problem and does anyone know why?

Technically, i don't understand why it wouldn't.
