Films you can watch again and again...
Posted by: naim_nymph on 16 February 2013
Do you have any films you find so entertaining you can watch more than once every year?
Any films you enjoy for an annual viewing?
Which films do you like to watch every other year?
Every five years or so?
Which film have you watched the most?
Swordfish
Love the TVR and Halle Berry
And I'm not joking...

Pretty much any of the Pixar movies, but particularly "The Incredibles".

Shirley you can't be serious?"
Which we watched for the umpteenth time again last night. I never tire of seeing Robert Redford scheme his way out of the mire.
Never tire of watching hacks doing their stuff...
I'm with you on "Airplane", and for me the director's cut of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, "Fargo", and most other Cohen bros. films.
But if I had to only pick one, it would certainly be this :-

Shirley you can't be serious?"
I am serious, and stop calling me Shirley
- Are you nervous?
- Yes
- Is this your first time?
- No I've been nervous before

Good choice Richard, nice to see him stay one step ahead. And love his Porsche
Lights that never dim for me.
Family Man - Nicolas Cage, Tea Leoni.
Taken - Liam Neeson.

+1 for Jacques Tati
I have Trafic, and a boxset containing, Jour de fĂȘte, Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot, Mon Oncle, Playtime and Parade. With the exception of parade probably watched them all 4 or 5 times. Trafic and Playtime being me favourites.
Others
Solaris, Three Colours Blue, Life is beautiful, Diva, Cinema Paradiso (directors cut), Catch 22, The man with two brains and Dumb and dumber.
These three P&P masterworks bear repeated (indeed, endless) viewing:

We don't watch TV at home, and haven't for about 21 years.
As such DVD has been out main source of AV entertainment, and so I have pondered on our collection, and what it is we spend time re-watching.
Now some of this is built on what my wife and I can compromise upon, rather than what we truly like best! And these likes and dislikes can change over time.
As such the regular list can be partially viewed as what we can both agree upon. The annual list as what I like and Juliette doesn't. This isn't quiet correct, as some of the films are Christmas favourites.
I have also limited this to movies, not including TV series.
