SuperUniti & Linn Akurate 242

Hi - am getting close to downsizing my system, having shed my CD player, preamp and one power amp. So, quick question - does anyone on the forum use a SuperUnit with Akurate 242s? I love the sound of these speakers (I've had them for 4 years), but they're hard to drive, and am wondering is the SU up to it. I know that the advice will be to go and listen, and I will, but just interested in any thoughts out there. Heard the SU with 400s and wasn't blown away.

I also like the 242's. I've heard them with NAP300 which worked fine, although I felt the combination was not quite ideal for my personal preferences. I've also heard 242's with NAP250, but that did not really work, as the bass was overly bloated.

Uniti2 with Majik 140 sounded like a very nice combination. My bet is that Majik might be a better match also for your case. Let us know how the demo went.
