It was 20 years ago today....

...that England's finest passed on to that great Boleyn Ground in the sky.

RIP Bobby.

"Bobby Moore, Superstar, walks with a wiggle and he wears a bra"

As a Scot, this was one of our favourite chants at the time......but it was borne out of respect for a truly great player.

R.I.P. Bobby Moore a true great.

Superb player, person, and held in highest regard by all his on field opponents.

R.I.P. Sir Bob.

Cheers Mista

Some nice stuff there. I'm sad to say that I think Fulham treated Sir Bobby better than the WHU hierarchy did. Fans always loved him though, they/we still do.

Just before this evening's game against the Spuds there will apparently be some sort of tribute. I can imagine that the atmosphere in the Bobby Moore Lower, where I stand, will be electric. So, everyone's taken this afternoon off - pie and mash in Canning Town followed by a few pints in Plaistow then off to the Boleyn for the big game.

You Stand ??  Do you want me to ask chairman Mo to lend Mista Gold a few quid so that he can buy a few seats.

Hope you win tonite and maybe one of your players can take out that toe rag Yank Dempsey.

Well, we are supposed to sit but everyone in the Booby Moore Lower stands - I've been there for 10 years and have always stood, as does everyone else. I think WHU and Newham Council gave up years ago trying to get everyone to sit down. They all stand in Chav Corner and parts of the Sir Trev Lower as well.

Cheers for the good wishes - a win is doubtful but a win against Spuds is always the sweetest, esp if that git Defoe gets sent off...
