George's birthday
Posted by: wanderer on 25 February 2013
Today would have been George Harrison's 70th birthday. Let's spare a happy thought for the most sensitive of the Beatles. He gave us some fantastic music.
I was reflecting on George's birthday and his work this morning.
"There never was a time when you or I did not exist.
Nor will there be any future when we shall cease to be"
will play some of George's finnest this evening.
Richard
Thanks for the reminder!
Tonight I'll play my 'Concert for George' DVD with my guitar at hand and sing and play along with all the songs.

Just playing this from George:
Thanks Olivia.
The Beatles were such a big part of my early life I regarded them as big brothers. Their songs are the soundtrack to my life.
George you're sadly missed, as is John.
I played a lot of Travelling Wilberrys today. If ever there was a super-group that was it. I think I miss "what might have been" from George most when I hear that group.
'The Sound' radio station in NZ played lots of tracks on Monday to celebrate. Didn't hear any solo stuff, just Beatles with John, Paul and Ringo on lead vocals. Hate it when they do that. Grr..
Just seeing the title, I thought we were s celebrating George Frederiks birthday.
Happy birthday George.
Jason.
