If we take past month I guess the most played new purchase for me might be Neneh Cherry & The Thing: The Cherry Thing.

Nick Cave & Bad Seeds Push The Sky Away. My favourite Nick Cave LP for some time.

Tom McRae's "From the Lowlands" .. tickets for the tour bought and just waiting on the vinyl version  to be released to compare with the CD.

Two recent purchases feel like bona-fide long term classics and on frequent play at home.

Nick Cave: Push The Sky Away (for me his best since Boatmans Call)

Yo La Tengo: Fade (all the things you want from a YLT album, and a great place to start if you don't own any yet)

How great when two artists with long careers can still produce things fresh and exciting.

A recent purchase I am very happy with is the SACD Steve Hoffman remaster of Close to the Edge.  I don't have an sacd player and just ripped the redbook files to my uServe.  It sounds FABULOUS (if you like this sorta thing).  Don't ask my wife what she thinks -- she is rather anti-prog.  Virtually our only musical disagreement and she puts up with me having to listen to Yes.

What Bart said. Except I downloaded the HDTracks HiRes version (not the same master as the SACD). It's had quite a few spins in the last few days. Good effort.

I've also just ripped the CD layer from the remastered Counterparts SACD from AF. Wow! Sounds good.

The Mavericks In Time. A bunch of superb unforgettable tunes performed by the best singer and band around at the moment.

Wonderful.
