PoE Switch - ok or not ?

Any ideal if a Naim streamer can be connected to a PoE network switch without any negative effects? Is anyone already doing so ?

Hi if the powering switch is 802.3af compliant, I can't see there is an issue. Naim don't use PoE as far as I am aware, and therefore will not have the 25kΩ characteristic discovery resistance between send and receive and so the compliant switch won't be able to identify the Naim as a device to be powered. Probably best to disable PoE on the port attached to Naim though.

I have not tried a PoE enabled switch with Naim.

I played around with a poe switch with no problems but ended up using a patch cable for Poe plug to conventional switch.
