NDX Screen faulty

Posted by: antz on 11 March 2013

Hi guys,

I've had my NDX for about 18 months. Recently, the screen is displaying hieroglyphics and won't switch off. I had the same issue on an N-vi. That involved a trip back to the factory but was fixed. The NDX is working via iPad.
I'm aware there was a problem a while back with Naim screens but I thought it had been resolved. I was wondering if anyone else had  had any problems?

I had similar problem before. I just carefully unplugged and re-plugged the ribbon cable to the display panel. It was an easy fix. Obviously if you do not feel comfortable in doing this, don't do it.

Hi antz

hopefully you're dealer is not too far away. I would return and ask for repair. You never know, once naim receive it you might get a new unit back! One of the deciding factors for purchasing my ND5 was the 5 year guarantee. Good luck and hope you get it resolved.

ATB, Anton

oh, what is your opinion of the NDX?

I think I'm having the same problem. My question though is how do I remove the cover to get at the innards? There appear to be two bolts on the base, one in the right rear corner and the other just right of centre with a rubber cover (as you look at the fascia).
